This policy covers the public website at afshinaryamd.com. It does not cover the separately operated private member library. This website policy is also separate from the practice's HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which explains how protected health information is used and disclosed in clinical operations.
Who we are
Afshin Arya, M.D. Concierge Clinic (the “Practice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is developing this website to provide information about its future medical services and to offer appointment scheduling. Afshin Arya, M.D. is the Privacy Official. Privacy questions may be sent to concierge@afshinaryamd.com. The practice mailing address and telephone number will be added before the practice opens.
Information handled when you visit
Website and security information
Our hosting, network, and security providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include an IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referring page, date and time, and security or performance events. Cloudflare and the website hosting service may process this information to route traffic, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and keep the site available.
Information you choose to provide
If you email the Practice, we receive the information in your message, such as your name, email address, and message content. Ordinary email may not be appropriate for sensitive medical details. Do not use email or this website for emergencies; call 911 for urgent or life-threatening symptoms.
Appointment scheduling
The website does not load Google scheduling until you choose “Load Google scheduling” or open the booking page in a new window. After you do so, your browser connects to Google. Google may receive technical information and may use information or cookies associated with a Google account already signed in on your device. Information you enter into the booking page is provided to Google Calendar/Google Workspace and to the Practice for scheduling and follow-up. Review the Google Privacy Policy.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the website.
- Respond to communications and appointment requests.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Meet legal, regulatory, recordkeeping, and professional obligations.
- Prepare for and operate the Practice's services.
We do not use advertising pixels, behavioral analytics, session replay, or cross-site tracking on this public website. We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it to create advertising profiles.
When information may be disclosed
Information may be disclosed to service providers that help host, secure, maintain, or operate the website and appointment system; when you direct or authorize the disclosure; when required by law or legal process; or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security. Clinical information is subject to additional health-privacy rules described in the Practice's Notice of Privacy Practices when that notice becomes effective.
Cookies and similar technology
The Practice does not set analytics, advertising, or preference cookies on the public website. Infrastructure providers may use strictly necessary security mechanisms, such as a temporary challenge cookie, when needed to protect the site. Google's technologies do not load through our scheduling panel until you deliberately load or open the Google booking page. See our Cookie & Tracking Notice for details.
Retention and security
Website and communication information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including operational, security, legal, and professional obligations. Appointment and clinical records may have different retention requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your privacy choices
You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information by emailing concierge@afshinaryamd.com. A request may be limited by medical-record, legal, security, or other retention requirements. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Because this public website does not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising and does not track visitors across other websites, browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals do not change its current behavior. If our practices change, we will reassess consent and applicable browser-signal requirements before deploying new tracking technology.
Children and family scheduling
This informational website is not directed to children under 13. A parent or legal guardian may arrange care for a child through an approved scheduling or intake process. Please do not submit a child's sensitive medical information through ordinary email.
Third-party links and policy changes
Links to Google and other third-party sites are governed by those parties' own privacy practices. We may update this policy as the Practice, website, services, or applicable law changes. The updated date at the top will show when revisions were made.
